Who we are

Robert M. Wakefield is the co-owner and director of Little Footprints Childcare Center (LFCC). Mr. Wakefield is an accountant and prior to opening LFCC he worked as a corporate tax auditor with the State of California for over 10yrs. His interest in ECE was birthed out of a desire to provide quality childcare that will focus on the whole child and provide a safe and nurturing environment. As a parent of a child that exhibited atypical behavior Mr. Wakefield has experienced firsthand the challenges in finding quality childcare. He is intent on making sure that each child receives a quality experience during their first introduction into a formal educational setting. Mr. Wakefield is firm in his belief that Little Footprints Childcare Center is a child’s first steps to greatness.  

Althea Wakefield is the co-owner and resident Nurse of Little Footprints Childcare Center. Mrs. Wakefield has over 25yrs experience in special needs pediatric care. She has a passion for the well-being of children and has dedicated her life to serving children who have exceptional needs. Mrs. Wakefield’s desire to open a daycare began with an exhausting journey to find quality childcare for her daughter. This journey resulted in a burning desire to create an atmosphere for children that will nurture them on various levels and support a child’s enthusiasm for learning.
